#LCCB100 is a songwriting contest open to all past and present LCCians – students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, administrators and former employees 18 years old and above. Aspiring lyricists and composers are invited to craft a song that shall capture the heartwarming story, development and glory of LCC Bacolod, being the oldest private Catholic institution in the province of Negros Occidental.

The songwriting contest is open to all past and present LCCians – students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, administrators and even former employees 18 years old and above.
Application can be filed by individuals or as a group with a maximum of 5 members.
For group entries, there must be a designated official representative.

Submission of Entries
Entry must be an original and unpublished composition. There may be several composers for one entry but a designated official representative must be identified.
Individual composers/assigned representatives for each entry must submit their entry form.
Only 1 entry per participant is allowed.
Performers who will interpret the songs for the final judging will be provided by the applicants.
The applicants/contestant must accomplish a waiver form to hold the organizer free from any suit, demand or liability arising from any misrepresentation or fraud in connection with his/her/their song entry to the contest.
Song Entry Requirements
Song entries should adhere to the given theme.
Duly accomplished entry form can be filled up online here.
Completed entry form must be submitted online via this link on or before the deadline on October 15.
Entry should be in mp3 format and upload must not exceed 10mb.
The song entry should not exceed four (4) minutes in duration/length including intro and extro.
Lyrics and Lyric Sheet
The lyrics of the song can either be in English, Filipino or a combination of both.
The song must not contain explicit and implicit offensive language.
Lyrics should be submitted online here in Microsoft Word format, Calibri 12.
Arrangement and Instrumentation
Acapella or use of single or multiple instruments is allowed.
Songs may belong to any genre.

Judging and Criteria
From among the pool of entries, a board of judges composed of practitioners from the music industry will shortlist five (5) finalists that will qualify for the top places, including the Grand Winner, based on the following criteria:
The selected 5 songs will be announced anytime in November 2017 on the school’s official website www.lcc.edu.ph and on the school’s Facebook Page www.facebook.com/lccb1919. Finalists will also be notified through email addresses and contact numbers as indicated in the entry or submission form.
The organizers will facilitate improvements in the musical arrangements of the top 5 finalists between December 2017 and January 2018 before they will finally be judged.
The final 5 will be invited to the final judging and awarding ceremony sometime in February where assigned performers will interpret the songs. The Board of Judges, composed of a new set of members who are practitioners in the music industry, will determine the placement of the top 5 finalists based on the same foregoing criteria.
Terms and Conditions
The decisions of the board of judges are final and irrevocable.
By joining this contest, participants agree to the contest rules and regulations. Non-compliance results to disqualification.
