Greetings from the “Community of Friends” – La Consolacion College Bacolod!
Five years ago, we have given recognition to LCCians whose accomplishments have contributed to the development of the community and the country in particular, and the world in common. The Outstanding LCCians of the World Awards (OLWA), an award ceremony that only happens every five years, is a prestigious recognition to the alumni who have become successful in their chosen field and have made significant contributions to the community.
This year, our quest for the most reputable graduates of LCCB worldwide continues. We are going to once again acknowledge our alumni whose lives are living testimonies to the Augustinian spirit of service and love for one’s neighbor.
Please feel free to go through the UPDATED guidelines and mechanics. We would love to hear more about the attainments of our alumni through your nominations. We shall celebrate these feats by acknowledging their triumph with you.
Deadline of all nominations will be on February 25 2015. The Awards will be presented on March 14, 2015 on our 96th Foundation Day Celebration.
Thank you very much!

OUTSTANDING LCCIANS OF THE WORLD AWARDS
RATIONALE OF THE AWARDS
Academes provide the manpower services of various industries in our society. As such, academic institutions have the moral responsibility to keep track of the performance of their graduates in the real world – be they in the business, government or any field of endeavor.
Like any other individuals, graduates are people who have various needs. In fact, Abraham Maslow declares that man needs to satisfy his need for self-esteem and self-actualization. It is for this reason that academic institutions give recognitions to graduates who have made significant contributions to the advancement of their society.
In celebration of her 96th founding anniversary, La Consolacion College Bacolod desires to recognize her outstanding graduates for their contribution that has not only improve the quality of life of their fellow Filipinos but also of their fellow men and women in the international level through their professional endeavors.

When you fill out the nomination form, there are a few things you should consider to ensure your nomination provides the selection panel with enough information about the achievements of the person you are nominating. Here are some tips to help you get started:
1. The nominee shall not be informed about the nomination until they have been selected
2. Fill out as much of the form as possible. The nominator has to support the dependability and aptness of the nomination by providing all the detailed information and statements with examples to prove the validity.
3. The committee, along with the expert selection panel, shall closely work with the nominator and other references in verifying the veracity of information stated in the form.
4. If at all possible, please include the age of the person you are nominating
5. Nominators may include any supporting documentation with the nomination. This can include personal references, portfolios, resumes, newspaper articles, etc.
6. Please do not nominate the same person more than once. Recipients are to be selected based on selection criteria, rather than the number of times they are nominated.
The nomination form asks you to tell us about your nominee. How are they an inspirational role model? How have they demonstrated excellence in their field and to the community?
In answering these questions, consider the following:
Provide examples to support your statements for all of the above. Don't just make a statement - prove it with examples.
