2 LCCians qualify in the Korea-Philippines Festival & Culture Exchange Association Scholarship

Two out of five scholars of the Korea-Philippines Festival & Culture Exchange Association (KPFCEA) are Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students of La Consolacion College Bacolod. The results were announced today, September 29, 2021 by KPFCEA member, Ricky Ballesteros.

Janmil Tomias and Richmond Van Trinidad are among those who were granted the scholarship out of 12 applicants from various Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines.

Ms. Em Legaspi-Ang had originally announced KPFCEA’s call for applications and also endorsed the applicants from LCC Bacolod upon favorable review of their application documents which included their academic records and a Philippine Festival Experience report.

The selection process involved a panel interview from professors of Mokpo University in Korea and Hyogo University in Japan, other officers of KPFCEA including its Chairman, Dr. Kim Junghwan.

The scholars will receive a grant of 20,000 pesos each.

The KPFCEA aims to strengthen the cultural ties between Korea and the Philippines through festival promotion.
