Scholarships

As a Catholic educational institution, La Consolacion College Bacolod upholds the value of compassion and provides every available educational opportunity to poor but deserving students with its wide array of scholarship grants and educational assistance. The school maintains the Scholarship Program which ensures the expansion and proper appropriation of resources so that scholarships are afforded to a greater number of beneficiaries every year.

Scholarships Offered

Scholarships at La Consolacion College Bacolod are generally reserved for students who demonstrate financial need with special qualifications, such as academic, athletic or artistic talent.

Financial discounts are awarded to students who have shown loyalty to La Consolacion College and other members of the Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters or relatives of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation.

There are two categories of LCCB Scholarships according to the source of funds:

  • Institutional Scholarships are those that are financed by the school through the annual institutional budget;
  • Government Scholarships are those that are granted by the government to the private education institution;

Institutional Scholarships

Given to the 1st degree – brother or sister, 2nd degree – niece or nephew, 3rd degree – son or daughter of the niece or nephew of an Augustinian Sister of Our Lady of Consolation

No. of Scholars allowed: Open

Criteria: Based on the ASOLC Congregation’s Policy

Discount:

  • 100% Discount on Tuition Fee Only
  • 100% Discount on Miscellaneous Fee
  • Laboratory Fees will be shouldered by the scholar

Requirements:

  1. Accomplished Application Form bearing the signature of the sponsoring ASOLC Sister for New Applicants.
  2. Short interview with the Scholarship Staff regarding the degree of relationship with the sponsoring ASOLC Sister.
  3. Copy of complete grades of the previous Academic Year or Semester.

Conditions:

  • The ASOLC Scholarship is valid for 1 scholar for every 1 ASOLC Sister only.
  • The Scholar must submit a copy of his or her Complete Grades of the previous Academic Year to continue his or her Scholarship.

Given to an Integrated School Pupil or Student who has two or three other siblings simultaneously enrolled in LCCB

No. of Scholars Allowed: Open

Criteria: Student or pupil must be officially enrolled in the Integrated School.

Discount: 

  • The youngest of three (3) siblings simultaneously enrolled in LCCB shall receive 20% Discount on Tuition Fee only
  • The youngest of four (4) siblings simultaneously enrolled in LCCB shall receive 50% Discount on Tuition Fee only

Requirement: Accomplished Application Form from LCCB Scholarship  Program

Conditions:  

  1. Siblings Privilege is valid for 1 regular academic year. 
  2. Applicants must renew their application during the enrolment period of the succeeding Academic Year to continue their Scholarship privilege.

Given to an incoming Grade 7, Grade 11, or 1st year College applicant who has successfully graduated and Ranked 1, 2, or 3 from a class of at least 100 students  in his/her respective public or private school

No. of Scholars allowed: Open

Criteria:  Graduated as Rank 1, Rank 2, or Rank 3 from a public or private school with graduates of not less than 100 students

Discount:

  • Rank 1 – 100% Discount on Tuition Fee only
  • Rank 2 – 50% Discount on Tuition Fee only
  • Rank 3 – 25% Discount on Tuition Fee only

Requirements:

  1. Photocopy of Report Card with Complete Grades
  2. Original Certification from the Principal that the Student has graduated with honorable distinction and indicating the student’s Rank and the number of graduates of the student’s batch
  3. Accomplished Application Form from LCCB Scholarship  Program

Condition: The Academic Achievement Scholarship is valid for 1 academic year only. 

 

Given to an incoming Grade 11, and 1st year College applicant who graduated in LCC Bacolod and ASAS Sisters Schools

No. of Scholars allowed: Open

Criteria: Student must be a graduate of LCCB and ASAS Sister Schools

Qualification or Discount: 

For Senior High School

  • 20% discount on tuition fee is given to students who studied in LCCB and  ASAS sisters schools from Grade 1 to Grade 10
  • 10% discount on tuition fee is given to students who studied in LCCB and  ASAS sisters schools from Grade 7 to 10

For  College

  • 40% discount on tuition fee is given to students who studied K-12 in LCCB and  ASAS Sisters School
  • 20% discount on tuition fee is given to students who studied in LCCB and  ASAS Sisters School from Grade 7 to 10
  • 10% discount on tuition fee  is given to students who studied in LCCB and  ASAS Sisters School for  Senior High School

Requirements:

  1. Accomplished Application Form from LCCB Scholarship Program
  2. Certificate of Residence  (for ASAS Sister Schools)

Condition: The Loyalty Discount is valid for 1 academic year only.

Given to poor but deserving students who would like to pursue college education

No. of Scholars allowed: Open

Criteria: Student must be willing to render service to the school in lieu of the financial assistance given to them.

Qualification or Discount: 

  • For the regular semester, 18 units load are applied to the first year and second year students assistants, 21 units load for the third year and fourth year students assistants  and 6 units load during summer for all year level

For Interns

  • 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for regular term
  • 100% discount  on tuition and basic fees. SA’s are also covered  on some miscellaneous fees that are non-cash out during summer 
  • Interns will receive 500 pesos monthly allowance provided by the School

For Externs

  • 100% discount on tuition fees
  • 50% discount  on basic fees

Requirements:

  1. Accomplished Application Form
  2. Photocopy of
    • Form 138 or Senior High School Report Card with the Final average grade of 80% with No Failing grade in any subject. ( incoming freshmen)
    • Latest  Grade Report with GWA of 80% and No Failing grade in any subject ( transferee and higher year)
  3.  
  4. Certificate of Indigence from the Barangay Captain if parents/guardians are unemployed. Latest Income Tax Return if parents/guardians are employed.
  5. Psychological Exam Result given by the LCCB College Guidance.
  6. Birth Certificate (photocopy)
  7. Baptismal Certificate (photocopy)
  8. Recommendation Letter from 3 different persons (not relative)

Condition: Student Assistant scholarships are non-cumulative and non- transferable 

Given to deserving members of the Chorale in the Integrated School and College

No. of Scholars allowed: Depending on the recommendation of the choir master

Qualification or Discount: 

  • No failing grade or dropped subject in the previous Academic years
  • One Thousand Pesos (P1, 000.00) Discount On tuition fee for Integrated School
  • Two Thousand Pesos (P2, 000.00) Discount On tuition fee for College

Requirements:

  1. Endorsement from the choir master after audition

Condition: Must pass the screening and audition 

Given to deserving members of the Basketball Team  in Senior High School and College

No. of Scholars Allowed: Depending on the recommendation of the Sports Coordinator/Coach

Qualification or Discount:

  • Must have an average of 80% and no failure or dropped subject
  • Discount on tuition fee of players depends on the ratings as endorsed by the sports coordinator/coach

Requirements: Endorsement from the sports coordinator/coach

Conditions: Must pass the screening and try out

Given to deserving 3rd yr. and 4th year student of BS Interior Design

No. of Scholars Allowed: 2

Qualification or Discount:

  • 100% discount on tuition fee
  • cost of board exam review excluding board and lodging

Requirements: Endorsement from the Department Head/MOA

Conditions: Must pass the screening and requirements

Government Scholarships

  • Php 7,500.00 per semester is given to Qualified Scholars until they graduate, for as long as the scholar is Officially Enrolled every semester
  • Application is accomplished at the Congressman/Congresswoman’s Office in your respective Districts. Requirements are provided by their Office 
  • Qualified and Verified Scholars Official Masterlist is sent by CHED Regional Office 6 to the School and the subsidy will be directly endorsed to the student’s account.
  • Php 30,000.00 per semester for Qualified Scholars until they graduate, for as long as the scholar is Officially Enrolled every semester
  • Requirement: Household must be a part of the DSWD Listahanan 2.0
  • LCCB Scholarship Office sends the list of all Officially Enrolled First Year students to CHED Regional Office 6, CHED then screens students to verify if they belong to a household that is part of the Listahanan 2.0
  • CHED Regional Office 6 sends the verified and qualified Scholars Official Masterlist to LCCB for processing of documents
  • Subsidy is given directly to the qualified scholar through his/her own LandBank TES ATM Card

Full Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA)

  • Php 30,000.00 per semester for Qualified Scholars until they graduate, for as long as the scholar is Officially Enrolled every semester
  • Requirement: Must maintain a GWA of 85.00 per semester, with NO FAILING GRADE in any subject; Scholar must enroll in the prescribed number of units stated in the Curriculum
  • Subsidy is given directly to the qualified scholar through his/her own LandBank ATM Card
  • Student must apply online at ched.gov.ph or send an email to chedro6@ched.gov.ph

Half Private Education Student Financial Assistance (HPESFA)

  • Php 15,000.00 per semester for Qualified Scholars until they graduate, for as long as the scholar is Officially Enrolled every semester
  • Requirement: Must maintain a GWA of 80.00 per semester, with NO FAILING GRADE in any subject; Scholar must enroll in the prescribed number of units stated in the Curriculum
  • Subsidy is given directly to the qualified scholar through his/her own LandBank ATM Card
  • Student must apply online at ched.gov.ph or send an email to chedro6@ched.gov.ph
