On behalf of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation (ASOLC), I would like to thank everyone who made the Centennial Celebration of La Consolacion College Bacolod a meaningful one. In many presentations during the celebration last March 2019, we have seen how generations of LCCians, religious and lay alike, contributed to the legacy that was started by our Foundresses, Venerable Mother Consuelo and Mother Rita Barcelo y Pages and the Pioneer Sisters who founded the Congregation and established Catholic educational institutions in various parts of the Philippines to make education accessible to all.
LCC Bacolod, being the third of the 25 schools administered by the ASOLC Sisters in the Philippines and abroad, serves as one of the leading Catholic educational institution in Negros Occidental producing graduates who are well-placed in various industries worldwide, who bring with them the ASOLC Charism– “to INCARNATE with LIVING FAITH the COMPASSIONATE CHRIST in a COMMUNITY of FRIENDS and in HUMBLE, ENDURING SERVICE to the NEEDS of the CHURCH, especially the POOR, through EVANGELIZATION.”
All that LCC Bacolod has become is because of the frontier spirit of our predecessors who endured the challenges of their time and remained faithful to the mission of LCC Bacolod. It is our hope to contribute to the legacies of those who have gone ahead of us, bring LCC Bacolod to greater heights through our continuing pursuit for quality education, offering innovative programs that are relevant to the needs of our community, and making them accessible especially to the “last, the least and the lost”.
I welcome you all to our academic institution through this online portal. As you take time to read and know more about us, may you discover pathways to connect with us or be part of our mission.
Sister Maria A. Garcia, OSA
