Bacolod City—La Consolacion College Bacolod opened its Vocation Month today, November 11, 2024, with a eucharistic celebration at the Quadrangle. Presided over by Fr. Raymund Alcayaga, OSA, the mass highlighted the theme of answering God’s call to holiness. In his homily, Fr. Raymund encouraged the faithful to express their commitment to God’s call through acts of compassion, forgiveness, and faith.
Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, President of La Consolacion College Bacolod, emphasized the importance of Vocation Month for the LCC community. “This is a time for each of us to listen and discern how we can serve others and embrace our unique callings,” she said. “We hope this month inspires our students and all participants to seek purpose in ways that uplift our faith and community.”
The mass was attended by various stakeholders, including a significant number of Integrated Basic Education students, parents, and representatives from religious organizations and seminaries.
Vocation Month will continue with activities led by different religious congregations and will feature talks exploring the variety of vocations in the Catholic faith.
