Bacolod City, Philippines โ The LCCB School of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Interior Design (SARFAID) proudly showcased its commitment to sustainability today, July 17, 2025, at the Renewable Energy Week Expo 2025 held at the SMX Convention Center. The expo, spearheaded by the Province of Negros Occidental and Bantayan Electric Cooperative, Inc., highlighted innovative solutions for a greener future.
The event commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by esteemed guests, including Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, LCCB School President, who officially opened the exhibition. Also present were Ar. Vincent Raymund Y. Alovera, PhD-TM, EdD, SARFAID Dean, Bernadette T. Tupas, LPT, MBA, the NSTP and IEAP Coordinator, Joenil C. Aliguin, LPT, the Focal Person for the Admissions Office, and Arthur M. Boboli, Admissions Staff.




SARFAID’s booth drew significant attention, featuring impressive scale models and prototypes that intricately wove together design aesthetics with ecological responsibility. Students Psalms Segovia, Kaye Santillan, and Marsha Posadas represented the school, enthusiastically explaining their projects to visitors. Their creations demonstrated practical applications of renewable energy principles within architecture and design, aligning perfectly with the expo’s theme of fostering a sustainable Negros Occidental.
LCCB’s participation underscores its dedication to nurturing future professionals who are not only creatively skilled but also deeply conscious of environmental stewardship. The Renewable Energy Week Expo provided a vital platform for SARFAID to contribute to the ongoing discourse on sustainable development and inspire a new generation of eco-conscious designers and architects.
