Sept. 23, 2025 — The Integrated School of La Consolacion College Bacolod launched its Literary and Musical Contest on Tuesday afternoon, gathering students at the Covered Quadrangle for an afternoon of creativity, competition and community spirit.
The program opened with an invocation led by Althea Solano, followed by the singing of the Lupang Hinirang led by Gwen Stacee Vicente. Mr. Anthony Deocades, Head of Office of Student Affairs and Services, welcomed participants in his opening remarks, encouraging them to use the stage to showcase not only talent but also character.

Judges introduced during the event included Kevin Jon B. Ciano, LPT, of the Communication Arts–English area; Rolando V. Gison Jr., LPT, of the Religion area; and Chennie Capitle, LPT, of the Araling Panlipunan area.
The contest proper began with the declamation category, followed by an intermission number from Kinder 2 pupil Natania Ellyssa Romo, whose performance drew applause from the audience. Students then faced the impromptu speaking challenge, testing not only their eloquence but also their quick thinking and composure before the judges and peers.
Closing remarks were delivered by June Mark E. Casuyon, LPT, of the MAPEH area, who praised the participants for their courage to perform and compete. The event concluded with a prayer led by Jasmine Dunn.
Faculty, parents and classmates filled the venue, cheering for the participants and celebrating the value of patience, excellence and teamwork fostered through the contest.
