ARFIEN Captures Overall Title in Litmus 2025 Literary and Musical Competition

The School of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Interior Design (ARFIEN) scored a decisive victory in the Litmus Intramurals 2025 Literary and Musical Competition held September 25 at the La Consolacion College Bacolod Quadrangle. The department’s strong performances in both literary and musical categories electrified students, faculty members, and alumni in attendance.

Last year’s runner-up, ARFIEN surged to the top spot this year, edging out the perennial powerhouse Senior High School, which fell to third place. The School of Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Teacher Education (SSLATE) — fondly dubbed the “Little Giants” due to its small student population — pulled off a remarkable second-place finish, surpassing Senior High School, last year’s overall champion.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), despite its large population and reputation as a “powerhouse,” faced another setback, landing in fourth place. The School of Business and Information Technology (SBIT), also a small department, rounded out the rankings in fifth place.

The competition showcased not only talent and artistry but also the spirited camaraderie across departments, making the 2025 Litmus Intramurals a highlight of the school year.

“Our Litmus celebration is not only a contest of talents, but a testament to the excellence, unity, and community that define us as LCCians,” said Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, President of La Consolacion College Bacolod. “Each performance reflected the spirit of friendship and shared purpose that strengthens our institution.”
