Students from La Consolacion College Bacolod taking Architecture 212 (Plumbing) under Dr. Vincent Raymund Alovera and Architect EJ Robete visited Triumph Home Depot in Barangay Sum-ag on October 20, 2025, for an educational industry tour.
The visit allowed students to gain hands-on exposure to plumbing materials, fixtures, and installation systems, reinforcing lessons discussed in class. The activity also aimed to familiarize future architects with current construction technologies and industry standards used in residential and commercial projects.
According to Dr. Alovera, site-based learning experiences like this “help students connect theory with practice and understand how design decisions translate into functional and sustainable building systems.”
The visit was part of the School of Architecture and Fine Arts and Interior Design’s continuing effort to integrate experiential learning into the curriculum.
