The Travelers’ Society of La Consolacion College Bacolod was named the Most Outstanding Organization in the Philippines by the Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines (JTHMAP) in the 2025 National Competition held online on October 10, 2025.
The results were officially announced during JUANDERCON 2025, the national Tourism Marketing, Hospitality, and Management Conference held on October 23–24, 2025, at Valle Verde Country Club, Pasig City. The annual event is the country’s premier gathering of tourism professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, and student leaders, organized in line with JTHMAP’s mission to foster leadership, innovation, and excellence in hospitality and tourism education.

The JTHMAP competition, themed “A Benchmark of Excellence: Hospitality and Tourism Champions of the Philippines,” aims to recognize outstanding student organizations and individuals in tourism and hospitality across the country. Participants from leading colleges and universities were evaluated through portfolio presentations and interviews, assessing leadership, community engagement, and program innovation.
LCC Bacolod President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, lauded the achievement, saying, “This recognition mirrors the values of hard work, creativity, and service that we nurture in our students. The Travelers’ Society exemplifies our mission to form leaders who use their talents not only for success but also for nation-building and the common good.”
Ms. Joanne Villasis-Ricablanca, program faculty and adviser of the Travelers’ Society, expressed pride in the group’s dedication. “Our students have shown remarkable leadership and teamwork. This national recognition is the result of their collective effort to elevate tourism education through innovation and advocacy,” she said.
The Travelers’ Society continues to advance La Consolacion College Bacolod’s commitment to nurturing globally competent and service-driven professionals in tourism and hospitality through active student engagement, research, and community-based initiatives.
