La Consolacion College Bacolod successfully completed the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) resurvey visit for its Level III accredited programs on Feb. 9–10, 2026.
The resurvey covered the Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Elementary Education, and Bachelor of Secondary Education programs, all of which currently hold Level III accreditation status.
The resurvey team was chaired by Dr. Edgar Detoya, dean of the School of Business and Management at the University of San Jose-Recoletos, and member of the PAASCU Commission on Tertiary Education. The team included quality assurance, research, teaching and learning, student services, external relations and resource management experts from leading higher education institutions across the country.
Over the two-day evaluation, the team conducted interviews with administrators, faculty members, students, alumni and external stakeholders. They also reviewed institutional documents and assessed program outcomes in leadership and governance, teaching and learning, research, student services, external relations, and quality assurance systems.

Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, school president, expressed gratitude to the academic community and the PAASCU team for what she described as a meaningful and reflective process.
“Accreditation is never about compliance alone,” Catungal said. “It is a continuing commitment to excellence and integrity in the way we form our students. This resurvey affirms our resolve to provide transformative Augustinian education that is responsive to the needs of the times.”
She added that the process strengthens the college’s culture of evidence-based planning, continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Level III accreditation signifies that a program has demonstrated a high standard of instruction, research and community engagement, and has established internal quality assurance mechanisms that promote sustained excellence.
The college awaits the formal results of the resurvey from PAASCU in the coming months.
