Nine teaching interns from La Consolacion College Bacolod received a warm and unexpected welcome Tuesday night as college President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, surprised them with a banner greeting upon their arrival at Bacolod-Silay Airport.
The interns had just returned from completing a three-month Student Internship Abroad Program in Thailand when they were met at the arrival area by Sr. Flolyn, who personally welcomed them home.
Carrying a banner bearing words of congratulations, the college president greeted each student and expressed pride in their successful completion of the international teaching internship.

The interns, who spent three months teaching English at Saint Joseph Nakae School in Thailand, appeared visibly surprised and grateful for the gesture.
Sr. Flolyn said the surprise welcome was a simple way of honoring their dedication and representing LCC Bacolod with professionalism and integrity abroad.
The homecoming marked the closing of a historic first international teaching internship for the college’s Teacher Education program — and a heartfelt reunion after months of service overseas.
