DA NANG, Vietnam — Thirty-five students from the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of La Consolacion College Bacolod traveled to Da Nang, Vietnam from May 4 to 9, 2026, for an international academic and cultural immersion that combined tourism exposure with discussions on future institutional partnerships.
As part of the learning visit, the delegation visited Phuong Dong Danang College, recognized as the first higher education institution established in Da Nang, where students were formally welcomed by school officials and faculty members.

The visit served as a platform for academic exchange, particularly in hospitality, tourism, and language education, while allowing students to gain first-hand exposure to Vietnam’s tourism landscape, educational environment, and cultural heritage.
Dr. Christian Angelo Ituriaga, dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, said the engagement opened doors for long-term international collaboration.
“This visit creates opportunities for faculty and student exchange in tourism. They are also happy to sign an agreement that could extend opportunities for our teacher education students, particularly in English language exposure here in Vietnam,” Ituriaga said.
The week-long immersion included institutional visits, cultural learning activities, and destination exploration across Da Nang, giving students practical insights into Southeast Asia’s growing tourism and hospitality industries.
College officials said the initiative forms part of La Consolacion College Bacolod’s continuing efforts to internationalize its academic programs and prepare students for careers in an increasingly global and interconnected hospitality sector.
