Bacolod City, January 12, 2024 – La Consolacion College Bacolod has officially embarked on its journey towards obtaining the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) certification. The institution kicked off this pivotal transition with a comprehensive two-day training program focused on Awareness and Documentation Training.
Conducted on January 11 and 12, 2024, the training saw the active participation of 25 key administrators and personnel, including the ASOLC sisters. Dr. Jone Rechie Gigayon of Tuv Rheinland Philippines spearheaded the training, providing insights and expertise to guide the participants through the intricacies of the ISO 21001:2018 standards.
LCC Bacolod President, Sr. Joan Brigida Corazon S. Infante, OSA, conveyed her congratulations to the dedicated participants and expressed her gratitude for their commitment to maintaining a high-quality management system through the ISO certification process. She emphasized the significance of the engagement observed during the training and the positive outcomes of the audit, indicating an increasing familiarity with the standards and their integration into the processes developed by LCC Bacolod. Sr. Infante reiterated that the institution’s primary objective is to ensure the delivery of quality education to its students.
While La Consolacion College Bacolod is currently ISO 9001:2015 certified, the institution aims to enhance its commitment to quality education by pursuing ISO 21001:2018 certification. The application for this new certification will be submitted before the expiration of the current ISO 9001:2015 certification. In the interim, LCC Bacolod is diligently revising its manuals and preparing to train internal auditors. The official application for ISO 21001:2018 certification is scheduled for submission by October 2024.
