On May 17, 2024, the LCCB School of Sciences, Liberal Arts & Teacher Education (SSLATE) hosted an Appreciation Day to honor their Cooperating Teachers from Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) and ETCS III. The event celebrated the collaborative efforts between SSLATE and these institutions, under the leadership of Dr. Josette Terora, Principal of NOHS, and Mrs. Vivian Cawaling, Principal of ETCS III.
The Appreciation Day was attended by SSLATE Pre-Service Teachers, along with key faculty members including Dr. Walter Peter T. Arcenas, Practicum Adviser for Teacher Education, and Dr. Penny V. Sanchez, Dean of SSLATE. This event marked the conclusion of the practice teaching period for the graduating Teacher Education students.
During the event, Dr. Arcenas and Dr. Sanchez delivered heartfelt messages, expressing their gratitude towards the principals and cooperating teachers for their dedication to mentoring and guiding the future educators. The pre-service teachers also showed their appreciation through various presentations and tokens of gratitude.
