Andrea Paz’s Mindful Resort Concept in Murcia

In a fast-moving world, Andrea Paz Pamati-an dared to imagine the opposite: stillness.

Her architectural thesis, “Eclosia: A Wellness Farm Resort in the Municipality of Murcia,” is a thoughtful response to today’s urgent need for spaces that heal—not just bodies, but minds. “I wanted to create a space that brings peace—not just physically, but emotionally,” Andrea shares. “As someone who advocates for mental wellness, I saw architecture as a way to help people slow down and reconnect.”

She found the perfect setting in Murcia, a quiet, grounded town nestled in nature but just minutes away from the city. With its strong farming roots and peaceful energy, Murcia inspired a design that is simple, natural, and honest—architecture that doesn’t compete with nature but flows with it.

Eclosia is rooted in sustainability and wellness. The resort is designed with passive cooling, natural light, and organic materials like bamboo and stone. Garden pathways and water features calm the senses, while each space guides guests through a symbolic journey—from arrival and reflection to renewal.

Andrea’s favorite metaphor? The flow of the site. “The Admin Building is the seed, the Wellness Pavilions represent growth, and the Villas are the bloom.” Inspired by Murcia’s agricultural identity, Eclosia offers more than rest—it offers transformation.

More than just a place to stay, Eclosia envisions long-term impact:

– Eco-tourism with intention.
– Support for local livelihoods and farm-to-table practices.
– A gentle model of development that gives back more than it takes.

“Ultimately,” Andrea says, “it’s about creating a space where nature, design, and human well-being work together.”

And in a world that desperately needs healing, that might just be the kind of architecture we need most.
