La Consolacion College Bacolod’s School of Architecture, Fine Arts & Interior Design brought the spirit of Christmas to life through its annual tradition, the ARFIEN Lights On. The enchanting event took place at the ARFIEN Art Gallery in the Sta. Monica Building on San Juan Street, Bacolod City.
The Lights On ceremony, a spectacle that showcases the brilliant plateworks of the Architecture, Fine Arts, and Interior Design students, came alive with a festive Christmas twist as twinkling lights adorned the students’ masterpieces.
The event commenced with an opening remarks by Ar. Vincent Raymund Alovera, the Dean of the LCCB School of Architecture, Fine Arts & Interior Design. His words set the stage for a night filled with artistic brilliance. Accompanying him were members of the SARFAID faculty, all demonstrating their unwavering support for the students’ creative endeavors.
The presence of Sr. Joan BC S. Infante, OSA, LCCB School President, added a special touch to the event. Sr. Joan delivered a message of commendation, expressing admiration for the astounding works of art showcased by the ARFIEN students. The Sisters’ Community joined her in celebrating the artistic achievements of the students.
This year’s Lights On event was a testament to collaborative efforts, with various SARFAID clubs and organizations joining forces. The ARFIEN Council, UAPSA, PIID-SAB, JSONO, Artists’ Forum, Painting Legion, Adv Corps, Ctrl+Z Guild, and Kostumbre played crucial roles in making the event a resounding success. Additionally, students from different SARFAID professional courses, including Visual Tech 1, Visual Tech 3, History, and Liturgical Art, contributed to the diverse and vibrant exhibit.
The ARFIEN Lights On exhibit is open to the public and free to visit at the ARFIEN Art Gallery in the Sta. Monica Building, San Juan Street, Bacolod City. The captivating display of creativity will be available for viewing throughout the month of December.
