ASAS Annual General Assembly Concludes with a Focus on Synergistic Synodality and Innovative Education

The Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters (ASAS) held its Annual General Assembly from June 27 to June 29, 2024, at the Mother House Conference Room, emphasizing systemic team building, innovative education, and community harmony.

The event commenced with an opening mass, followed by an inspirational message from Sr. Eden L. Gicana, OSA. Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, ASAS Superintendent, welcomed the participants, stating, “Our goal is to foster a collaborative spirit that enhances both education and community life. Together, we can achieve innovative solutions that reflect our shared values and  mission.”

Fr. Frederick Comendador, OSA, delivered a keynote address on “Systemic Team Building Towards ASAS Synergistic Synodality for Innovative Education,” setting the tone for the assembly.

Various presentations and workshops were conducted, including a session by Mr. Ariel C. Hernandez on team building for peace and harmony in school settings, and a workshop on problem-solving and conflict resolution led by Ms. Kathryn J. Bellosillo. Participants also engaged in discussions on industry partnerships and entrepreneurship, facilitated by Mr. Lucrecio Delgado, Jr.

The final day featured sessions on strategies for small Catholic schools’ internationalization by Dr. Paulo Josef Blando and renewable energy innovations for schools by Mr. Dann Angelo de Guzman. The assembly concluded with a synthesis by Dr. Maximo Y. Muldong and the awarding of certificates. The assembly provided a platform for educators and administrators to collaborate and share best practices, reinforcing ASAS’s commitment to innovative and harmonious educational environments.
