July 31, 2024 – La Consolacion College Bacolod held a security guard orientation led by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) in collaboration with the Security Office to prepare for the upcoming academic year. The orientation was focused on ensuring the safety and security of all students and staff through the implementation of critical campus entry policies.
Mr. Joselito Diaz, Head of OSAS, highlighted the significance of the orientation, stating, “Our goal is to create a safe and orderly environment where students can focus on their studies without concerns for their safety. By working together, we can ensure that our campus remains a secure and welcoming place for everyone.”
The session emphasized the importance of maintaining strict security protocols within school premises to ensure a safe environment. Security officers were briefed on effective communication strategies for interacting with students and visitors, ensuring clear, respectful, and helpful exchanges at all times. Detailed guidelines on the school’s dress code were provided, with an emphasis on adherence to maintain a professional and respectful environment. Specific dates were outlined for the proper wearing of school uniforms and executive business attire.
The process for applying for uniform exemptions was explained, ensuring students understand the necessary steps and criteria. Additionally, the orientation covered the implementation of the haircut policy, which applies to both new and returning students, reinforcing the school’s standards of appearance. The session also addressed the strict implementation of the single-use plastic ban on campus, aligning with LCCB’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Security officers were trained on the new RFID system, which will be used for monitoring and managing campus access efficiently.
