La Consolacion College Bacolod officially joined the 26th Philippine University Games (UNIGAMES) hosted by the Province of Negros Occidental, which opened yesterday, October 23, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon. The opening ceremonies gathered athletes and delegates from universities across the country for a weeklong celebration of sportsmanship and unity.
Representing LCC Bacolod, the varsity team will compete in the men’s 5×5 basketball event scheduled from October 24 to 30 at the Panaad Multi-Sports Gym. The team was accompanied by Mr. Anthony Deocades, Head of the Office for Student Affairs and Services, and Ms. Dione Prajes, Sports Coordinator.
LCC Bacolod President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, expressed her pride in the college’s participation, saying, “The UNIGAMES is not just a competition but a celebration of discipline, teamwork, and excellence. Our athletes carry not only the LCC banner but also the values of faith, humility, and perseverance that define every LCCian.”
With the theme “The Games that Bring Us Together for Unity and Peace,” the UNIGAMES 2025 underscores the spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among student-athletes nationwide.
