LCC Bacolod Chorale IBED Chorus Serve at Monthly Cathedral Mass

The La Consolacion College Bacolod Chorale and the Integrated Basic Education Department’s Chorus served as the choir for the anticipated Mass at the San Sebastian Cathedral on Saturday, October 18, 2025, marking their first engagement in the monthly ministry despite heavy rain.

The group, led by pianist and choir master Professor Alexander Magno Romero, will sing at the Cathedral every third Saturday of the month at 5:15 p.m. The ensemble includes faculty members, among them Ms. Regina Derramas, and student choristers from various academic departments.

Sister Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, President of La Consolacion College Bacolod, praised the group’s dedication, saying, “Their willingness to serve even in difficult weather shows the depth of their faith and love for music. Through their voices, they bring harmony, hope, and the presence of God to the community.”

The chorale’s participation is part of the College’s continuing mission to foster spiritual formation and strengthen its partnership with the Diocese of Bacolod through the ministry of music.
