LCC Bacolod Earns Praise in Successful PACUCOA Accreditation Survey

La Consolacion College Bacolod continues to raise the bar in academic excellence and quality assurance with the successful completion of the PACUCOA Accreditation Survey held from May 29 to 31, 2025. The hybrid visit covered both reaccreditation and formal evaluations across undergraduate and graduate programs, with the institution once again demonstrating its firm commitment to delivering relevant, responsive, and future-ready education.

Six programs underwent formal and second-level reaccreditation: Master of Arts in Education, Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Library and Information Science, Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Simultaneously, orientation for newly applied programs—Doctor in Business Administration, Master of Science in Architecture, Master of Science in Hospitality Management, Master of Arts in Counseling, and Bachelor of Science in Psychology—was conducted in preparation for future accreditation cycles.

Over the course of three days, accreditors from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) engaged in comprehensive evaluations, including facility inspections, document reviews, interviews with faculty and students, and classroom observations. The exit conference concluded with affirmations of the institution’s strengths in instructional delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, School President, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the LCCian community: “The successful survey is not just a milestone for the school—it’s a testament to the hard work of our faculty, staff, administrators, and students. Our collective effort reflects our enduring mission to provide Christ-centered, quality education that transforms lives.”

Behind the scenes were long hours of coordination, countless folders of documents, classroom preparations, and an all-hands-on-deck spirit that energized the entire community. Professors courageously opened their classrooms to observation, administrators ensured every requirement was met, and students proudly shared their learning experiences—showing the depth of commitment LCC Bacolod brings to its academic vocation.

As PACUCOA prepares its final report, LCC Bacolod moves forward with renewed vigor. More than a recognition, the successful survey underscores the school’s unwavering resolve to continuously improve, innovate, and remain at the forefront of Catholic education in the region.

Because at LCC Bacolod, excellence is not an act—it is a habit. And quality is not a one-time goal—it is a shared responsibility lived every day.
