NAKAE DISTRICT, Thailand — Feb. 6, 2026 — Teacher education students from La Consolacion College Bacolod formally completed their three-month Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) at Saint Joseph Nakae School with an Exit Interview activity held Friday at the Saint Joseph Honors’ Room.
The session, served as a platform for reflection, evaluation, and recognition of the interns’ professional growth during their immersion in Thai classrooms.
The activity was presided over by Ms. Jean Erezo, Coordinator of the Teacher Education Program of LCCB, together with Mr. Charles Van Howard Florendo, Head of the Intensive English Program and SIAP Supervisor. The two facilitated the discussion, guiding participants through a structured reflection on their experiences in teaching, cultural adaptation and community engagement.
During the exit interview, the interns revisited their journey from their first day on campus to their final weeks as classroom facilitators. They shared insights on classroom management strategies, collaborative teaching with Thai educators, language instruction methods and cross-cultural understanding.

Ms. Erezo emphasized the importance of reflective practice in teacher formation, noting that professional growth is strengthened through experience, evaluation and service. She encouraged the interns to bring the lessons learned in Thailand into their future careers as educators.
School officials described the activity as a reaffirmation of the joint commitment between Saint Joseph Nakae School and LCC Bacolod to form teachers who are academically competent, morally grounded and culturally responsive.
The LCCB interns who completed the program are Loren G. Billiones, Ma. Christine V. Entapan, Blue Jace M. Gulmatico, Jade Martin R. Gustilo, Jonah P. Lumanog, Christine V. Maguad, Lory Gane S. Regala, Reenah Nicole B. Rivera, and Alycone Somet T. Tan.
The completion of the internship marks the culmination of LCC Bacolod’s first international teaching immersion under the SIAP initiative, strengthening its commitment to developing globally competent educators.
