Six delegates from La Consolacion College Bacolod, led by Ms. Joanne Villasis-Ricablanca, joined educators, students, and professionals from across the Philippines at JUANDERCON 2025, held on October 23–24, 2025, at the Valle Verde Country Club, Pasig City.
The national event, organized by the Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines (JTHMAP), is the country’s premier learning and networking conference for tourism professionals, educators, and changemakers. With the theme “A Benchmark of Excellence: Hospitality and Tourism Champions of the Philippines,” the two-day gathering featured plenary talks, industry panels, and the awarding of the Most Outstanding Tourism and Hospitality Students and Organizations in the Philippines.

JUANDERCON 2025 brought together delegates from top institutions, including Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila, Manuel S. Enverga University, National University-Fairview, Southville International College, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, College of St. Benilde, University of Batangas-Lipa Campus, La Consolacion College Manila, and various state universities and colleges nationwide.
Among the required participants were the JTHMAP awardees, including LCC Bacolod’s Traveler’s Society, recognized as the Most Outstanding Organization in the Philippines, and BSTM students April Ann Obando and Katrina Angelica Braganza, who were named among the Most Outstanding Tourism Students of the Philippines.
LCC Bacolod President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, commended the delegation, saying, “Our participation in JUANDERCON reflects LCC Bacolod’s commitment to learning beyond the classroom and to forming future leaders who will make a difference in the tourism and hospitality industry.”
Ms. Villasis-Ricablanca, who serves as faculty member and adviser of the Traveler’s Society, described the event as a valuable opportunity for professional and academic growth. “JUANDERCON provided our students and faculty the chance to learn directly from industry experts and connect with peers nationwide. It truly embodies the spirit of collaboration and innovation in tourism education,” she said.
The LCC Bacolod delegation’s participation in JUANDERCON 2025 strengthens the college’s mission of producing globally competent, service-oriented professionals in the tourism and hospitality field.
