A new opportunity awaits students of La Consolacion College Bacolod as the school signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the La Consolacion College Faculty Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LCCFCMPC).
The agreement establishes a Student Laboratory Cooperative, giving learners the chance to practice financial management, savings mobilization, and entrepreneurship while still in school. Students will also gain knowledge on cooperative membership, leadership, and responsible decision-making, with guidance and mentorship from LCCFCMPC.
For students, this means more than classroom theory. The program immerses them in real cooperative operations, teaching discipline, teamwork, and social responsibility. By becoming members, they can start saving early, strengthen financial literacy, and prepare to contribute actively to sustainable communities.

Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, President of LCC Bacolod, emphasized the value of this initiative: “Through this partnership, we are not only teaching our students how to save and manage resources—we are forming them to be responsible leaders who care for others and help build stronger communities.”
The MOA was signed with the support of the LCCFCMPC, led by Mr. Joselito M. Diaz (Chairperson of the Board), Ms. Oliva G. Dequinto (CEO), and Ms. Elda J. Rublico (COO), together with members of the Board, officers, and staff.
With this MOA, LCC Bacolod students now have the tools to link learning with practice, empowering them to build stronger lives—and stronger communities.
