LCC Bacolod successfully completes QMS surveillance audit with zero nonconformities

La Consolacion College Bacolod successfully completed its first surveillance audit for its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification on March 5, earning zero nonconformities from the external audit conducted by TÜV Rheinland Philippines.

The audit, led by Hershey Kae Dichoson with auditors Jogina Mendiola and Criselia Gayo, assessed the institution’s compliance with international quality management standards across academic and administrative processes.

The comprehensive review covered top management governance, academic programs, student services, human resource management, learning resources, admissions, facilities, purchasing and control of external providers, as well as risk management and customer feedback mechanisms.

Auditors also conducted classroom observations, document verification for the Integrated Basic Education Department, and audits of undergraduate and graduate programs, including the National Service Training Program (NSTP).

Dr. Romela R. Aujero, vice president for administration and academic affairs, said the result affirms the institution’s commitment to maintaining a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

“The zero nonconformity result reflects the collective effort of the entire LCC Bacolod community to uphold high standards in governance, instruction, research and student services,” Aujero said. “It demonstrates that our systems are not only compliant with international standards but are also functioning effectively to support our mission of delivering transformative education.”

The surveillance audit is part of the continuing certification process to ensure that the institution sustains compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard, which focuses on process management, risk-based thinking and continuous improvement.

During the opening meeting, Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, president of LCC Bacolod, highlighted several institutional milestones since the last certification audit in November 2024, including strong performances in professional licensure examinations and the expansion of research and international collaborations.

The successful completion of the surveillance audit reinforces LCC Bacolod’s commitment to institutional excellence, accountability and globally aligned quality assurance practices.
