Isabela, Negros Occidental — The La Consolacion College Bacolod Psychological and Wellness Services Center, in partnership with the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, conducted a debriefing activity for flood survivors in Barangay Bulad, Isabela, following the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino.
The outreach was jointly led by Sr. Oliva D. Elisan, OSA, representing LCC Bacolod, and Sr. Elkin Lozada, OSA, President of La Consolacion College Isabela. The psychosocial support team, headed by Dr. Romela R. Aujero, assisted 216 individuals—including adults, children and senior citizens—who were affected by heavy flooding in the area.

Personnel and ASOLC Sisters of LCC Isabela also mounted relief operations, distributing food packs, hygiene items and other essential supplies to help meet the immediate needs of displaced families.
“We are grateful for the dedication and compassion of our volunteers and partners in providing support to those in need,” LCC Bacolod President Sr. Flolyn Catungal, OSA said.
Team members described the experience as humbling and deeply moving, noting the resilience and strength shown by the flood survivors. The group, composed of Master’s in Guidance and Counseling students, Psychology faculty, guidance counselors and student affairs personnel from LCC Bacolod, said the stories shared by residents left a lasting impact and strengthened their commitment to continue supporting affected communities across Negros Occidental.
