At the heart of every ending lies the promise of a beginning—and for the graduates of La Consolacion College Bacolod, the 78th Baccalaureate Commencement Exercises held this year were more than a ceremonial close. They were a radiant send-off, a celebration of purpose, and a call to mission.
Held with solemn dignity and Augustinian spirit, this year’s theme, “Enduring Quality Catholic Institution: Transforming Lives, Defining Dreams,” resonated deeply in every message, every name called, and every tear shed in the company of families, mentors, and friends who stood witness to this pivotal milestone.

In her heartfelt message, Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, School President, reminded graduates of their journey—one paved with sleepless nights, deadlines, and deep inner struggles. “We couldn’t be prouder of what you have achieved,” she wrote. “The challenges you have overcome… have somehow contributed to your being as resilient and empowered Augustinians/LCCians of today.”
Sr. Flolyn spoke not only of accomplishment but of mission. “From this day forward, your dreams are not confined to ambition but are guided by compassion, justice, gratitude, enduring service, and love.” Her charge to the graduates was clear: go forth not just to succeed, but to transform lives with grace and live out the Augustinian values of Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas in every space they enter.
Echoing this spirit of mission was Sr. Eden L. Gicana, OSA, Superior General of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, whose message breathed both courage and conviction. “You are confidently equipped with what the world needs,” she affirmed, urging graduates to live with sincerity of heart, strength of character, and the capacity to bring goodness to others.
Sr. Eden called on the graduates to be “LCCians who love and fear God,” whose lives radiate unity, charity, and truth even amidst indifference and greed. Her words were a tender yet powerful reminder that the true spirit of joy and success is not found in accolades but in lives lived with purpose and love.
This year’s commencement was not just a roll call of academic achievement—it was a testament to La Consolacion College Bacolod’s enduring mission of holistic formation. From the conferral of honors and heartfelt songs of loyalty, to the rousing applause for every name called, the ceremonies reminded everyone present that education at LCCB is never just about intellect—it is about spirit, service, and the soul’s journey toward transformation.
As the sea of caps flew and cheers echoed across the hall, it was clear: these graduates do not leave as mere degree holders. They walk forward as witnesses to enduring faith, hope, and love—ready to define their dreams and transform the world, one act of compassion at a time.
Congratulations, Class of 2025. Your journey has just begun.
