Students from the Doctor in Business Administration program of La Consolacion College Bacolod and LCCians at the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), led by Dr. Jean Locsin-Ramos, donated school supplies to the students of the Night High School program as part of their shared advocacy to support inclusive education.
Launched in 1993, the Night High School program provides access to accredited secondary education for students who are unable to attend regular day school. For School Year 2025–2026, the program supports nearly 200 learners from Grades 7 to 10. It continues to thrive through the ESC voucher program, the dedicated volunteer service of full-time LCC Bacolod faculty, and alumni who return as professional teachers. In addition, several alumni provide scholarships to cover the matriculation of students not included in the voucher program.

The program has produced successful professionals and remains a strong expression of LCC Bacolod’s mission of social transformation through education. Its impact was recognized by the Local Government of Bacolod City when it was conferred the prestigious Ang Banwahanon Award.
Dr. Jean Locsin-Ramos emphasized the importance of collaborative service:
“This initiative is a simple yet meaningful way to remind our students that they are not alone in their journey. We want them to know that their aspirations matter, and that they are part of a community that believes in their potential.”
Sr. Irene M. Bancolo, OSA, Principal of the Integrated Basic Education Department, expressed her gratitude for the continued support:
“We are deeply thankful for the generosity of our LCCians in government and graduate school. These school supplies may seem ordinary, but to our students, they represent hope, encouragement, and the power of community.”
Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, President of La Consolacion College Bacolod, highlighted the spirit behind the Night High School:
“Our Night High School is a living testament to our Augustinian values—service, community, and love of neighbor. It is through the kindness of alumni, faculty, and partners that we continue to walk with the youth toward a future shaped by faith, compassion, and knowledge.”
