Q Software Research Corporation, in partnership with La Consolacion College Bacolod through its Master of Arts in Education major in Instructional Technology program, successfully conducted the 3rd leg of Google Workspace On the Go: Learning without Limits webinar on November 23, 2024. The event, held via Google Meet, attracted around 100 participants, including educators, administrators, and students from Bacolod and nearby areas.
The webinar highlighted the transformative potential of Google Workspace tools in education, providing updates on new features, practical applications, and insights into AI integration for learning environments.
In her welcome remarks, Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, President of La Consolacion College Bacolod, expressed her gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “We are proud to work with Q Software Research Corporation in empowering educators with innovative tools that open endless possibilities for teaching and learning.”
Dr. Ramon Ponce de Leon, BOT Chair and Dean of the Graduate School, set the tone with his opening remarks, emphasizing the critical role of technology in education. He remarked, “This partnership reflects our shared vision of creating boundless learning environments where educators and students can thrive.”
The program featured a key presentation by Dr. Rodjhun Navarro, Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Linkages, and Program Head of the MAEd Instructional Technology program. He delivered an engaging session on the latest updates to Google Meet features, illustrating their application in building dynamic and efficient virtual classrooms.
Adding a student’s perspective, Mr. Lander Leonillo, President of the Graduate School Student Council and an MAEd Instructional Technology candidate, spoke about the program’s impact. He shared, “The MAEd IT program equips educators with the expertise to integrate technology into their teaching practices, preparing us for the ever-evolving educational landscape.”
Mr. Efren Silva, Director of Finance and Special Projects of Q Software Research Corporation, expressed his appreciation for the partnership, saying, “LCC Bacolod’s commitment to innovation in education is inspiring, and we are privileged to collaborate with such a forward-thinking institution.”
The event concluded with an open forum and a raffle, where participants had the opportunity to win a projector for their school and a printer for personal use.
