Samuel Solinap Wins Top Honor at Philippine Culinary Cup

La Consolacion College Bacolod beams with pride as it celebrates the victory of Samuel “Sam” Solinap, a proud alumnus of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management major in Culinary Arts, for being hailed Champion in the Philippine Culinary Cup – Elle & Vire French Touch Challenge (Seafood) held on August 9, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

The Philippine Culinary Cup (PCC) is the country’s most prestigious culinary competition, drawing top chefs and rising culinary talents from across the nation. The Elle & Vire French Touch Challenge is one of the highly anticipated categories, highlighting refined techniques and creativity using premium seafood ingredients.

Representing Antonio’s at PGA Cars, Sam impressed the judges with his exceptional mastery of flavor, artistry in plating, and innovation in seafood preparation—qualities that earned him the championship title in a field of highly skilled competitors.

LCCB President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, expressed her heartfelt congratulations, saying, “We are incredibly proud of Sam’s achievement, which reflects not only his personal dedication but also the quality of training and values instilled in our SHTM graduates. His success is an inspiration to our students to dream big, work hard, and let their passion shine.”

Sam’s victory adds another feather to the cap of LCCB–SHTM, proving once again that its alumni continue to make their mark on the national and international culinary stage.
