The School of Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Teacher Education commits to the holistic transformation of the learners through excellent instruction and relevant experiential learning and envisions herself to be a center of excellence producing Gospel and value-laden graduates who shall work for sustainable and progressive society.

Goal

In line with its commitment to the fulfillment of the LCCB Vision and Mission, the degree programs of the School of Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Teacher Education seek to prepare and support aspiring professionals in the fields of Education, Psychology and English Language Studies towards successful and meaningful careers in an increasingly complex, diverse, and uncertain world.

Objectives

In line with its commitment to the fulfillment of the LCCB Vision and Mission, the degree programs of the School of Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Teacher Education seek to prepare and support aspiring professionals in the fields of Education, Psychology and English Language Studies towards successful and meaningful careers in an increasingly complex, diverse, and uncertain world.

To that end, the programs aim to provide:

  1. a challenging academic environment that enhances content and pedagogical knowledge and inspires intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, effective communication skills,  creativity, reflection, and life-long learnings among pre-professionals; 
  2. engaging pedagogy and andragogy that model and advocate for current and emerging trends on effective teaching and learning; 
  3. an environment that fosters the formation of change-agent leaders capable of sustaining initiatives and innovations through sound organizational skills and collaborative decision-making;
  4. Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) that promote collaboration, enhanced curriculum and instruction delivery, research linkages, and meaningful outreach activities; and  
  5. holistic learning experiences that uphold and honor professional ethics and the living out of Christian values that are expressed in a sincere concern for human flourishing and the  betterment of society.

Program Offerings

The BS in Psychology degree prepares you for careers in teaching, research, counseling and human resource. It can also be a foundation for further studies in the fields of medicine, guidance and counseling, human resource development and law.

Here’s a degree program for those who seek to attain high level of proficiency in English language and apply it in government, law, education, media, business, and the industry as an official language of the Philippines.

This degree program is designed for those who want to become elementary school teachers, delivered by a mix of young and dynamic, and seasoned faculty whose work experiences span public and private school education.

LCC Bacolod’s Integrated School programs provide in-campus laboratories for students whose knowledge in content and pedagogy is complemented by actual teaching experience.

This degree program is designed for those who want to become high school teachers, delivered by a mix of young and dynamic, and seasoned faculty whose work experiences span public and private school education.
