The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) returned to the top of La Consolacion College Bacolod’s Sports Intramurals, capturing the overall championship in the 2026 edition and ending an 11-year title drought.
SHTM secured the top spot after delivering strong performances across several events throughout the weeklong competition. The School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Interior Design (SARFAID) finished as 1st runner-up, followed by the School of Sciences, Liberal Arts and Teacher Education (SSLATE) as 2nd runner-up. The Senior High School (SHS) placed 3rd runner-up, while the School of Business and Information Technology (SBIT) ranked 4th runner-up.

The department’s victory was fueled by standout performances in multiple competitions, including badminton, table tennis, darts, e-sports, and volleyball, which helped SHTM accumulate the points needed to secure the overall championship.
In the women’s volleyball championship, SHTM maintained a strong defensive and offensive game to claim the title, with Senior High School finishing as 1st runner-up and SARFAID taking 2nd runner-up.
SHTM also dominated the badminton tournament, sweeping the men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed doubles events. The department likewise captured the men’s darts championship, demonstrating precision and focus throughout the competition.
In e-sports, SHTM claimed the championship in the Mobile Legends tournament, defeating SARFAID in the final round. The department also posted strong performances in table tennis and other sporting events, contributing to its overall victory.
The intramurals also featured the Mx. LCCian Ambassador 2026 pageant, where the SSLATE male candidate and the SARFAID female candidate were crowned ambassadors during the pageant night at the LCCB Centennial Quadrangle.
Held across various campus venues, the 2026 Sports Intramurals brought together students from five academic divisions in a weeklong celebration of athletic excellence, teamwork and school spirit.
The event concluded with the awarding of sports champions and departmental winners, marking SHTM’s return to the top of the intramurals standings after more than a decade.
