The High School Class of 2000 of La Consolacion College Bacolod donated ₱80,000 to support Project HOPE (Helping One Person Excel) on April 10, 2026, reinforcing alumni commitment to expanding educational opportunities for deserving students.
The donation was formally received by Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, school president, during a simple turnover ceremony. Representing the class were Antonio Derramas, class governor; Lilian Lozada-Leyes, treasurer of the LCC Bacolod Alumni Association; and Sheena Dacutan, a member of the Class of 2000.
Sr. Catungal expressed gratitude for the alumni’s generosity, noting that the contribution will directly benefit students in need. “This act of giving embodies the true spirit of an LCCian—offering one’s blessings for the service of others. Through Project HOPE, your generosity becomes an opportunity for a young person to dream, to learn, and to excel,” she said.
Project HOPE is an institutional initiative aimed at providing scholarships, strengthening student formation, and supporting academic programs through sustained alumni and stakeholder engagement.
The Class of 2000’s contribution forms part of a broader effort among alumni batches to support the initiative, launched in line with the college’s continuing mission to make quality education accessible and transformative.
