LCC NSTP COMPLETERS URGED TO LEAD THROUGH FAITH, VALUES AND SERVICE

La Consolacion College Bacolod recognized its National Service Training Program completers during the LCCB NSTP Completion Ceremony 2026, celebrating a new batch of students formed for community engagement and nation-building.

The ceremony, themed “Pagsibol: Formed in Faith, Guided by Values, and Engaged in Service,” carried the subtheme “NSTP Completers as Emerging Nation Builders.” It highlighted the role of NSTP in preparing students to become socially aware, values-driven and service-oriented citizens.

Bernadette T. Tupas, MBA, LPT, LCCB NSTP coordinator, delivered the welcome remarks and later presented the NSTP completers. Penny V. Sanchez, PhD, associate dean for academic affairs, gave a special message and led the confirmation of the completers.

CDR. Artlzell M. Anacan PCG, acting station commander of the Coast Guard Northern Negros Occidental, served as guest of honor and inspirational speaker. He addressed the completers on the value of discipline, preparedness and service to the country.

The program also featured the awarding of special awards, the introduction of the guest of honor by Al Anthony Astaquinto, LPT, NSTP Section Compassion adviser, and the “Voice of the Completers” delivered by Adrian Michael Cuizon of NSTP Section Compassion.

Certificates of completion were awarded to students from sections named after Augustinian and Christian values, including Chastity, Compassion, Excellence, Faith, Friendship, Humility, Interiority, Justice, Leadership, Magnanimity and Obedience.

LCCB officials said the ceremony was not only a recognition of course completion but also a reminder that the students’ NSTP experience should lead to concrete service in their communities.

“The completion of NSTP marks the beginning of a deeper responsibility,” an LCCB official said. “Our completers are called to bring their formation beyond the classroom and become young citizens who act with compassion, justice and faith.”

The ceremony included the processional march, invocation by the NSTP completers, the Philippine national anthem by the NSTP Chorale, the alma mater song, loyalty song, community song and presentation, and recessional song.

Through the NSTP, LCCB continues to strengthen its mission of forming students who are not only academically prepared but also ready to serve others and contribute to the common good.
