LCC BACOLOD PROGRAMS EARN FIVE-YEAR PAASCU LEVEL III REACCREDITATION

La Consolacion College Bacolod has secured a significant quality assurance milestone after the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) granted five-year Level III reaccreditation to its Liberal Arts, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Business Administration programs.

In a letter dated June 4, 2026, addressed to LCCB President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, PAASCU Executive Director Ricardo R. Palo announced that “the Liberal Arts, Elementary & Secondary Education, and Business Administration programs are granted re-accreditation for five years, valid until May 2031.”

The decision came after a comprehensive resurvey visit conducted by a team of educators and quality assurance experts who evaluated the institution’s performance in leadership and governance, teaching and learning, student services, research, external relations, resource management, and quality assurance systems.

For LCC Bacolod, the reaccreditation affirms the sustained quality of its academic programs and its commitment to continuous improvement in teaching, research, and community engagement.

Sr. Flolyn welcomed the announcement as a collective achievement of the college community.

“This clean-slate reaccreditation is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, administrators, staff, students, alumni, and partners who work together to uphold excellence in Augustinian education,” Catungal said. “More than a recognition, it is a responsibility that challenges us to continue forming competent professionals, servant leaders, and lifelong learners who will make meaningful contributions to society.”

She added that the result reflects the institution’s culture of quality and accountability.

“We are grateful to PAASCU for its rigorous evaluation process, which helps institutions like ours remain responsive, innovative, and mission-driven. This achievement inspires us to pursue even greater levels of excellence in the years ahead,” she said.

The reaccreditation ensures that the four programs will maintain their accredited status until May 2031, providing students and stakeholders with assurance that the programs continue to meet nationally recognized standards of educational quality.

The successful outcome also strengthens LCC Bacolod’s position as one of Western Visayas’ established institutions for teacher education, liberal arts, and business education, reinforcing its commitment to delivering transformative learning anchored on the Augustinian values of truth, charity, and service.
