LCCB TO LAUNCH MONTHLY SACRED MUSIC, REFLECTION PROGRAM

La Consolacion College Bacolod will launch “Hymns and Reflections: Faith, Hope, and Love,” a monthly music and spiritual reflection program featuring the LCCB Chorale and Chorus, on June 26, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the LCCB Chapel.

The program, led by Prof. Alexander Magno Romero, pianist-conductor, aims to provide learners with an opportunity to spend time in the chapel, pray through music and engage in spiritual reflection.

Romero said the initiative encourages every LCCB learner to develop a prayerful heart and strengthen one’s relationship with God.

“Through the messages conveyed in songs and hymns, the virtues of faith, hope and love can be nurtured and strengthened,” Romero said. “Music is a powerful instrument that can inspire hearts, deepen spirituality and bring individuals closer to God.”

The launching program will feature songs of faith, hope and love, as well as selected sacred hymns intended to inspire worship, contemplation and spiritual growth.

Following its launch, the Music and Reflection program will become a regular part of school life at LCCB. Each month, designated grade levels and sections will attend sessions at the chapel as part of the school’s effort to promote prayer, reflection and spiritual formation through sacred music.

LCCB School President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, said the program reflects the school’s continuing commitment to the holistic and spiritual formation of learners.

“At La Consolacion College Bacolod, we believe that education must also form the heart,” Catungal said. “Through sacred music, our learners are invited to pause, pray and encounter God in a meaningful way. This initiative reminds us that faith, hope and love are not only values to be taught, but virtues to be lived.”

Romero said the initiative sets LCCB apart as one of the few schools that consistently promotes sacred music beyond the celebration of the Holy Mass.

The event will be held at the LCCB Chapel and will also be streamed live through the official LCCB Facebook page for those who cannot attend in person.
