La Consolacion College Bacolod welcomed guidance counselors and educators from various institutions for a two-day intensive training on November 8-9, 2024. Lacson Colleges, CSAB, St. Benilde, CHMSU, La Carlota City College, STI WNU, and as far as Bulacan.
The training was delivered by Argao Health Inc. and Argao Psych, the largest private outpatient mental health care center in Central Luzon and the only mental health center in the region to fully operate a hybrid setup. Argao Psych integrates in-clinic and online services seamlessly through its proprietary Argao Psych Web App, which offers psychological services and assessments. This partnership with La Consolacion College Bacolod and the LCC Crisis and Psychotrauma Center underscored a shared commitment to mental health education and support.
Participants, led by Dr. Renz Christian Argao, an expert in mental health and trauma, engaged in modules on mental health foundations, psychological first aid, intervention planning, and other vital areas. The interactive sessions included discussions, simulations, and practical exercises, providing hands-on experience in handling youth crises.
Reflecting on the event’s impact, LCC Bacolod President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, remarked, “This training exemplifies our commitment to nurturing compassionate, skilled professionals equipped to support the mental well-being of our youth. We are grateful to our partners for joining us in this mission.”
The program concluded with positive evaluations, leaving participants motivated and better prepared to apply their training in real-world scenarios, advancing mental health support in their communities.
