La Consolacion College Bacolod President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, challenged administrators to translate the institution’s Strategic Plan 2026–2031 into concrete and measurable actions as the college convened its Administrators’ Academy on Tuesday.
Addressing academic and institutional support administrators, Catungal emphasized that the strategic plan is more than a compliance document, describing it as a roadmap that reflects the institution’s mission, vision and commitment to responding to the changing needs of students and society while remaining faithful to its Catholic and Augustinian-Marian identity.
“Our Strategic Plan reflects our commitment, our vision for the coming years, and our concrete response to the needs of our students and society, while remaining faithful to the mission entrusted to us and to the charism of our congregation,” Catungal said.
She urged participants to convert institutional goals into “meaningful, workable actions” by identifying innovative, realistic and measurable programs and strategies for the coming academic year.

Catungal reminded administrators that planning should go beyond achieving organizational targets and instead focus on forming graduates who are “competent professionals, compassionate nation-builders, Christ-centered and responsible global citizens.”
The LCC Bacolod president also encouraged administrators to sustain initiatives that broaden students’ global exposure and continuously strengthen academic programs through innovation, partnerships and professional development.
“As we plan, let us ask ourselves not only what we want to accomplish, but how our work can better form competent professionals, compassionate nation-builders, Christ-centered and responsible global citizens,” she said.
Recognizing the rapidly evolving employment landscape, Catungal challenged administrators to assess whether the college’s current academic offerings remain responsive to industry demands and emerging workforce trends.
She said the academy would also examine findings from the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025 to help guide discussions on future-ready academic programs and potential new course offerings.
The Administrators’ Academy brought together academic and institutional support leaders to align annual operational plans with the college’s Strategic Plan 2026–2031. The program also featured sessions on institutional targets, organizational structure, research priorities, quality management systems and the institutional calendar for Academic Year 2026–2027.
Catungal concluded by encouraging administrators to foster a culture of reflection, collaboration and mutual support as they implement the institution’s strategic priorities.
“I know you love this school, and for that I thank you. We are here to support one another as one community,” she said. “Let us continue reflecting, collaborating and empowering one another as we move forward together.”
