BANGKOK, Thailand — La Consolacion College Bacolod received the Research Advocacy Award during the 4th International Conference on Business, Education, Engineering and Sciences, or ICBEES 2026, held July 1-3 at Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok.
The award was conferred by the International Association of Scholarly Publishers, Editors and Reviewers Inc. in recognition of LCC Bacolod’s support and partnership as a co-host institution of the international conference.
ICBEES 2026 carried the theme “Bridging Disciplines: Collaborative Research for a Changing Global Landscape” and gathered scholars, educators, researchers and administrators for keynote lectures, plenary sessions and research paper presentations across business, education, engineering, health sciences and the social sciences.
LCC Bacolod co-hosted the conference with the University of Bohol, Dr. Soetomo University of Indonesia and the University of Nueva Caceres.

Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, president of LCC Bacolod, said the recognition affirms the institution’s continuing work to strengthen research culture, academic collaboration and international linkages.
“This recognition is a meaningful affirmation of LCC Bacolod’s commitment to research that serves communities and contributes to social transformation,” Catungal said. “As a Catholic Augustinian institution, we believe that scholarship must not only generate knowledge but also respond to real human needs.”
Catungal said the college’s participation in ICBEES 2026 reflects its direction to bring LCCian research to wider academic platforms while learning from scholars and partner institutions across countries.
“We are grateful to IASPER and our partner institutions for this opportunity to take part in a conference that values interdisciplinary collaboration,” she said. “Through engagements such as ICBEES, we continue to build spaces where research, innovation and service can come together for the common good.”
The certificate cited LCC Bacolod’s “unwavering support and outstanding partnership” as a co-host institution and its commitment to advancing research and fostering academic excellence through collaboration.
Catungal said LCC Bacolod will continue to support research initiatives that are ethical, inclusive and responsive to the needs of communities.
“This award inspires us to continue nurturing a research culture that is grounded in service, academic excellence and the pursuit of the common good,” she said.
The conference concluded July 3 with awarding ceremonies and recognition of participating institutions, presenters and research outputs.
