LCC Bacolod Holds Lenten Recollection, Strengthens Community Spirit

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Faculty and staff of La Consolacion College Bacolod participated in a Lenten Recollection on Wednesday, March 27, organized by the Center for Spirituality and Mission.

The recollection, led by Rev. Fr. Timothy Ma. de Belen, MMHC, provided a space for introspection and spiritual renewal for the LCCB community.

The program, divided into two parts, explored themes of love and compassion. Participants were encouraged to reflect on core aspects of their Catholic faith, such as the importance of compassion, the significance of the Eucharist, forgiveness, and embracing life’s challenges.

A key element of the event was the opportunity for attendees to receive the sacrament of confession, fostering personal reflection and spiritual growth within a supportive environment.

The recollection culminated in a mass celebrated in Hiligaynon, the local language, adding a cultural dimension to the spiritual experience. This shared expression of faith further strengthened the bonds of community within LCCB, highlighting the college’s commitment to spiritual growth and mutual support among its members.#
