In a heartening display of environmental consciousness, the Untiring Environmentalists Club of the LCCB Junior High School recently handed over its Painted Waste Bins Project to the LCCB Institutional Environmental Advocacy Program (IEAP). The formal turnover ceremony took place on January 23, 2024, at the LCCB IEAP Office, graced by the presence of Mr. Adryan J. Valiao, IEAP Coordinator, alongside Ms. Shiela Mae Gallego, the Club Adviser, and Club Student Leaders.
The vibrant Trash Bins, adorned with eco-friendly messages, were meticulously painted by the club members, aligning with the IEAP-mandated waste bin color coding. The club dedicated its weekly meeting and activity time throughout the first half of the academic year to craft these bins, marking a visual representation of their commitment to environmental sustainability.
This initiative, consisting of six thoughtfully designed waste bins, stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the students involved. Entirely student-led, the project was seamlessly integrated into the club’s calendar of activities, reflecting their ardent support for the environmental advocacy championed by La Consolacion College Bacolod.
Under the guidance of mentors Ms. Jeniffer Tingson and Ms. Shiela Mae Gallego, the club members channeled their creativity and passion to contribute meaningfully to the IEAP. The collaborative effort resulted in a donation of six adorned waste bins, symbolizing the fusion of art and environmental responsibility.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the initiative undertaken by the Junior High School students, the IEAP recognizes the profound impact of such endeavors in fostering a culture of environmental awareness within the school community. This collaborative project serves as a shining example of how young minds can actively contribute to creating a sustainable and eco-conscious future./AV #lccbIEAP #GreenerLCCB #LCCBCommunityofFriends #BuildingDreamsTogetherwithLCCB
