LCCB NSTP & IEAP Nurtures Mangrove Conservation with Second Batch of Planting and Coastal Clean-up Initiative

Continuing their dedication to environmental preservation, the La Consolacion College Bacolod National Service Training Program (NSTP) and Institutional Environmental Advocacy Program (IEAP) recently organized the Second Batch of Mangrove Growing and Coastal Clean-up Activity. This event took place on November 25, 2023, at LCCB’s adopted mangrove site in Sitio Can-itom, Brgy. Sampinit, Bago City.

The endeavor saw active participation from NSTP students and advisers representing sections Friendship, Humility, Interiority, and Justice. A robust turnout of almost 200 student participants engaged in planting 500 mangrove seedlings, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among the youth.

With one more batch scheduled on December 2, the LCCB NSTP & IEAP aims to complete the planting of 2000 mangroves for the first semester, contributing significantly to local ecological conservation efforts. The institution expresses sincere appreciation to the City Environment Management Office of the City of Bago for their steadfast partnership and support throughout this initiative.

It is worth noting that LCCB, through its IEAP, has been diligently maintaining the mangrove site since 2019, marking a sustained commitment to the long-term health of the local ecosystem. #lccbNSTP #lccbIEAP #GreenerLCCB #LCCBNSTPBatchHiraya #LCCianNationBuilders
