LCCB School of Sciences, Liberal Arts & Teacher Education Empowers Future Educators through Field Deployment

In a strategic move towards enriching practical teaching experiences, the LCCB School of Sciences, Liberal Arts & Teacher Education (SSLATE) embarked on an insightful journey by deploying its pre-service teachers to Negros Occidental High School and Education Training Center School III. This initiative, which took place on February 14, 2024, aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world classroom dynamics.

Under the guidance of esteemed mentors, Dr. Walter Peter Arcenas, Practicum Adviser, and Dr. Penny Sanchez, SSLATE Dean, the students embarked on this immersive educational expedition. The deployment marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of these budding educators, offering them invaluable hands-on experience in a diverse learning environment.

The collaboration between LCCB and the educational institutions in Negros Occidental underscored a commitment to holistic education and community engagement. By actively participating in classroom activities, lesson planning, and student interaction, the pre-service teachers gained a deeper understanding of pedagogical techniques and instructional methodologies.

Dr. Walter Peter Arcenas emphasized the importance of practical exposure in shaping competent and empathetic educators. “This deployment provides our students with an unparalleled opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. It fosters creativity, adaptability, and resilience, essential qualities for effective teaching,” he remarked.

Dr. Penny Sanchez echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between academic learning and experiential practice. “Our students are not just observers; they are active contributors to the learning process. This engagement cultivates a sense of responsibility and professionalism crucial for their future roles as educators,” she asserted.

The deployment to Negros Occidental High School and Education Training Center School III served as a testament to LCCB’s dedication to excellence in teacher education. It reinforced the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills and competencies needed to thrive in the dynamic field of education.

Looking ahead, LCCB remains steadfast in its mission to empower future educators and inspire positive change in communities through education. With initiatives like the campus deployment program, the institution continues to set the benchmark for excellence in teacher preparation, ensuring that every LCCian graduate emerges as a beacon of knowledge, compassion, and leadership in the field of education. #lccbSSLATE #LCCBCommunityofFriends #BuildingDreamsTogetherwithLCCB
