Administrators of La Consolacion College Bacolod gathered for the latest session of the Administrators’ Academy for academic year 2026–2027 to evaluate the institution’s research framework and ensure its continued alignment with the college’s strategic direction.
The session was led by Rejay Y. Alvarado, head of the Research and Creative Works Office, who guided participants in reviewing the institution’s current research priorities, the frameworks used in setting them and their relevance to emerging organizational needs.

Alvarado emphasized the importance of maintaining a research agenda that responds not only to academic interests but also to institutional priorities, community concerns and developments affecting higher education.
During the session, administrators examined the purpose of the institutional research agenda and discussed how research priorities could support decision-making, program development, quality assurance and the college’s wider mission.
Participants also assessed whether the existing research areas remained responsive to the needs of the institution and its stakeholders. They were encouraged to recommend revisions, identify gaps and propose new areas of inquiry that could strengthen the college’s research, innovation and community engagement initiatives.
The Administrators’ Academy provided a venue for collaborative reflection and planning, allowing school leaders to contribute to the refinement of a research agenda that is relevant, evidence-based and responsive to changing educational and organizational conditions.
The review forms part of LCC Bacolod’s continuing efforts to strengthen its research culture and integrate research more closely into institutional planning and development.
