New Architects Celebrated at La Consolacion College Bacolod Testimonial Dinner

Bacolod City, Philippines – On April 5, 2024, La Consolacion College Bacolod hosted a testimonial dinner at Business Inn to welcome the newly licensed architects into the profession. The event, presided over by Ar Vincent Raymund Y. Alovera, brought together alumni, faculty, and guests to honor the achievements of the recent board passers.

Sr. Joan Brigida Corazon S. Infante, OSA, President of LCC Bacolod, expressed her gratitude to the parents and supporters of the board takers, acknowledging their crucial role in the success of the new architects. She urged the graduates to uphold the principles of truth, fairness, goodwill, and mutual benefit, drawing parallels to the Rotarian principles and the transcendentals of good, truth, beauty, and unity.

In response, Ar Victor Yanong extended his appreciation to LCC Bacolod for the instrumental role it played in shaping their journey to becoming architects. He thanked both the institution and his family for their unwavering support, both morally and financially, throughout his education. Yanong emphasized the significance of the evening as an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.

The dinner was generously sponsored by Island Premium Paints, underscoring the support of the local community for the emerging professionals. Ar Demie Verde, Program Head of the BS Architecture program, commended the board passers for their dedication and resilience. He encouraged them to approach their careers with humility, positivity, and a commitment to making a positive impact on others’ lives. Verde also urged the new architects to consider furthering their education by pursuing a master’s degree in architecture.

Prior to the dinner, the successful alumni engaged in focused group discussions with faculty members from the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program, sharing insights and experiences from their board exam journey. This exchange served as a valuable opportunity for reflection and collective learning within the academic community.

The testimonial dinner not only celebrated the achievements of the new architects but also highlighted the importance of mentorship, support networks, and ongoing education in nurturing future generations of architectural professionals.
