The La Consolacion College Bacolod Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team secured 2nd runner-up honors in the school category of the 1st Mayor G Rescue Fire Olympics (Year 4) Company Fire Brigade Category, held March 19 at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds.
Competing against 4 other teams, the LCCB contingent demonstrated skill, coordination and endurance across four events: fire hose relay, bucket relay, emergency section and tug of war.
The team was composed of Arthur Boboli, Mila Rose Patos, Adrian Taglorin, Edward Dolorfino, Ana De Oro, Dexter Solanoy, Angelito Marte, Gilchrist Sevilla, Keyzer Gotera and Edxanndre Madayag. Christopher Dagu-ob, Leoni Salvador and Bernadette Tupas served as reserve players, while Winston Cuelo acted as team coach.
Organized by the Bureau of Fire Protection–Bacolod City Fire Station as part of Fire Prevention Month 2026, the competition aimed to promote fire safety awareness and strengthen emergency response capabilities among participating institutions.
LCCB’s strong finish highlights the institution’s commitment to preparedness and community safety, reinforcing its ongoing efforts to train students and personnel in disaster response and risk reduction.
