La Consolacion College Bacolod formalized a partnership for international student training through a memorandum of agreement signing on March 20, 2026, launching internship placements in France under its Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP).
The agreement links LCCB with France-based placement company Alzea, through Philippine partner Claro Vista, opening six-month paid internship opportunities for selected students in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Representatives from Alzea attended the signing, alongside Claro Vista officials who facilitated the collaboration. LCCB President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, signed the MOA, with institutional witnesses including Dr. Ramon Ponce de Leon, Chair of the Board of Trustees, members of the President’s Council and the faculty of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Under the program, screened students from Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, and Tourism programs—particularly incoming fourth-year students—will be deployed to partner establishments in France. Among the confirmed host institutions is Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey Hotel and Restaurant in Bommes, a Michelin-recognized property known for its integration of fine dining and wine tourism.
Participants will undergo a six-month internship and receive a minimum monthly stipend of 600 euros, with accommodation provided by the host company.
The SIAP initiative aims to strengthen global exposure and industry immersion among LCCB students by placing them in international work environments aligned with their academic preparation.
Dr. Christian Angelo Ituriaga, Dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management said the partnership reflects LCCB’s continuing effort to expand global linkages and provide transformative learning opportunities that prepare students for competitive careers in the international hospitality and tourism industry.
