PASAY CITY — Officials of La Consolacion College Bacolod joined 59 of its newly licensed architects during the oath-taking ceremony held March 21 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Complex.
Leading the delegation was School President Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, together with administrators from the Architecture program, in a show of support for the institution’s latest batch of successful examinees in the January 2026 Architect Licensure Examination.
During the ceremony, the Professional Regulation Commission, through the Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture, conferred a Plaque of Recognition to LCC Bacolod for its outstanding performance in the licensure exam.
The college ranked sixth nationwide among institutions with 50 or more examinees, achieving an exemplary passing rate of 90.77%, significantly higher than the national average.
“This milestone is a testament to years of dedication—not only of our students, but of our faculty who have journeyed with them in building strong academic and professional foundations,” Sr. Flolyn said. “We celebrate not just their success, but the values of discipline, perseverance, and excellence that define an LCCian architect.”
Dr. Vincent Raymund Alovera, dean of the School of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Interior Design, emphasized the importance of preparation aligned with evolving licensure demands.
“The Architecture Licensure Examination today requires deep conceptual understanding, particularly in areas such as structural design, building technology, and utilities,” Alovera said. “Our students’ performance reflects how well they have been prepared—not just to pass the exam, but to practice the profession with competence and integrity.”
The recognition affirms the institution’s consistent performance in the Architecture licensure examinations and highlights its long-standing contribution to architectural education in the region.
